Le Carnaval de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a pour réputation d’être le 2e au niveau mondial.

De nos jours le carnaval de Santa Cruz prospère et profite d'une très importante fréquentation extérieure grâce aux efforts du gouvernement local pour promouvoir cet événement qui a été désigné "d'intérêt touristique international".

Les rues sont absolument noires de monde, des milliers de personnes viennent assister à des représentations et défilés. Le carnaval est avant tout un évènement festif. On assiste à des spectacles musicaux, théâtrales, et on participe à des bals.

Les festivités durent environ un mois tout autour de l’île et prennent fin avec l’enterrement de la sardine.

• 1990 - Le monde des contes
• 1991 - Espace
• 1992 - Le Film
• 2012 - Flower Power. Les années 60 prodigieuse

Cette année c'est Bollywood:l'Inde qui a été élu avec 42% des voix ( sur un total de votant d'environ 1000 personnes)

"The Carnival of Santa Cruz in Tenerife,has the worldwide reputation for being the second in the world. (Canary Islands, Spain).

Today the carnival of Santa Cruz takes a bigger and bigger place in people's mind. The carnival enjoys a very large tourism from all over the world through the efforts of local government to promote an event that has been designated "International Tourist Interest."


The streets are absolutely fully loaded, thousands of people come to attend performances and parades. The carnival is before anything a festive event. We are watching musical performances, theatrical and invite to participate in dances.

The festival lasts about a month around the island and ends with the burial of the "sardine".


Since 1987, one main theme is voted for the Carnival of Santa Cruz in Tenerife.
